Toby Johnson has worked in co-operatives and social enterprises in England and Belgium. Until 1994 he worked in workers’ co-operatives in Yorkshire, selling wholefoods and traditional beer. Since moving to Brussels, he has worked in the European Commission, as a journalist, and as an expert on social enterprises in the transnational activities of the European Social Fund. He co-ordinates the RIDE project, which is training migrant women in information technology skills.
Vanessa coordinates the MILE project and manages the content for UNITEE’s external communication channels. Based in Brussels, she has worked for non-profit and media outlets on policy and advocacy, project coordination and communication. With family from Australia, she grew up in Germany and has lived in France and Spain. She is particularly interested in European and Middle Eastern takes on diversity, democracy, and participation.
Born and raised in the Netherlands, currently living in Brussels and with UNITEE since 2014, Ahmet has more than 15 years of experience and expertise in entrepreneurship, business development, trade, and project management.
Communications and Projects Assistant
Eimear assists UNITEE with communications and projects work. While originally from Ireland, Eimear studied and worked in the Netherlands, Spain, and Lithuania before settling in Belgium. With a strong background in EU politics and gender equality issues, Eimear is deeply passionate about migration and inclusion.
