UNITEE, the New European Business Confederation, organized its annual Secretary General meeting on December 9, 2015. The meeting was composed of representatives of UNITEE’s member associations from 24 different countries.
Previous day on December 8, dinner was organized at the office of BETIAD, the Belgian Federation of Active Entrepreneurs in Brussels. Dinner started at 7:00 pm, while the speeches at 8:00 pm, by Petros Fassoulas and Peter Faross.

The European Movement is an international organization open to all political, economic, social and cultural trends in civil society, where its objective is to contribute to the establishment of a united, federal Europe. UEAPME is the voice of SME’s in Europe and represents 10 million enterprises across Europe.
On the second day, the meeting was on the topics of creating synergies, sharing best practices, and how to have a positive impact on challenges we face. The focus was on the global and European challenges, moreover, how the local, national and European advocacy can be dealt in a more coordinated way. Some of the challenges discussed were xenophobia, Euroscepticism, lack of entrepreneurship, lack of investments, and lack of internationalization an innovation at the European level. As for the global challenges the focus was put on the growing global competition for markets, talents, ideas, investors and allies. The discussion was based on the common vision of New European Entrepreneurship, New European Economy, and in particular, solutions to refugee crisis.
